Long Finance and Finance Watch design the first Global Green Finance (Centres) Index

Clarity Coalition partner Long Finance has launched the Global Green Finance Index (GGFI) developed in conjunction with Finance Watch and a large number of people and organisations over six months and funded by the Mava Foundation.  The index is intended to create the ranking of the quality and depth of the green finance offerings of the world’s financial centres.  The first edition of the index will be published in March 2018.

The approach follows the same methodology used by the very successful Global Financial Centres Index since 2005 – www.globalfinancialcentres.net.

The intention behind the GGFI is to catalyse the growth of green finance, improve policy makers’ and other stakeholders’ understanding of what makes a financial centre ‘green’, and shape the financial system to support sustainability goals.  The index will rely on its success on a spread of individuals involved in Green Finance providing their views through the GGFI questionnaire.  It would be a great to help if members of your ESG community could complete the questionnaire, and encourage other relevant communities and individuals to contribute as well:
